WINGS OF LIFE IS A GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY BASED CLUB DEVELOPED TO RAISE FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR THE ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE & INSPIRE YOUTH IN AVIATION

Wings of Life was established in 2010 by Griffith University Aviation student Douglas Field to meet the demands of a University project and to express his gratitude towards the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) for their commitment to rural residence of Australia.

Over a short period of time Wings of Life went through significant development and gained invaluable support, which provided the opportunity to be a registered club with Griffith University.

The aims and objectives of Wings of Life are:

  • To ensure all Australians have the ability to access equal and adequate medical treatment, through raising funds and awareness for the RFDS and
  • To inspire youth in aviation.

The club also aims to develop the members personal and professional skill-sets, encourages networking, and leadership that facilitates future employment and personal growth.

Although we are a club we act as family that strongly supports one another. We are involved in numerous types of activities, but predominantly associated with aviation. Despite what activity the Wings of Life family is involved with we have FUN doing it!
